Might use Song of Songs and Song of Solomon both in this website, it is the same book!
8 "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you.
He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you."
(NLT)
28 For the Lord loves justice,
and he will never abandon the godly.
He will keep them safe forever,
but the children of the wicked will die.
(NLT)
6 God places the lonely in families;
he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.
But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorche
0d land.
(NLT)
18 No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
(NLT)
22 "Now suppose two men are fighting, and in the process they accidentally strike
a pregnant woman so she gives birth prematurely.
[a] If no further injury results, the man who struck the woman must pay the amount of
compensation the woman’s husband demands and the judges approve.
23 But if there is further injury, the punishment must match the injury: a life for a life,
24 an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot,
25 a burn for a burn, a wound for a wound, a bruise for a bruise.
(NLT)
Footnotes
Exodus 21:22 Or so she has a miscarriage;
Hebrew reads so her children come out.
5 "I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."
(NLT)
Footnotes
Jeremiah 1:5 Or chose
3 "Give justice to the poor and the orphan;
uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.
4 Rescue the poor and helpless;
deliver them from the grasp of evil people."
(NLT)
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church.
He is the Savior of his body, the church.
24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.
25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her
26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.[a]
27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle
or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies.
For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.
29 No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church.
30 And we are members of his body.
31 As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife,
and the two are united into one."[b]
32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.
33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Children and Parents
Chapter 6
1 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord,
[c] for this is the right thing to do.
2 "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a promise:
3 If you honor your father and mother, "things will go well for you,
and you will have a long life on the earth."[d]
4 Fathers,[e] do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them.
Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
(NLT)
Footnotes

6:1 Or Children, obey your parents who belong to the Lord;

6:4 Or Parents.
21 "You must not mistreat or oppress foreigners in any way.
Remember, you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt."
(NLT)
42 "But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin,
it would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone hung around your neck.
(NLT)
67 Then they began to spit in Jesus’ face and beat him with their fists. And some slapped him,
68 jeering, “Prophesy to us, you Messiah! Who hit you that time?”
(NLT)
5 The Lord replies, "I have seen violence done to the helpless,
and I have heard the groans of the poor.
Now I will rise up to rescue them,
as they have longed for me to do."
(NLT)
2 But because there is so much sexual immorality,
each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.
3 The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs,
and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs.
(NLT)
37 However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.
(NLT)
7 But the Lord said to Samuel,
"Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him.
The Lord doesn't see things the way you see them.
People judge by outward appearance,
but the Lord looks at the heart."
(NLT)
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
(NLT)
4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

God's Discipline Proves His Love
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith,
let us strip off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily trips us up.
And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
[a] Because of the joy[b] awaiting him, he endured the cross,
disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.

2 He noticed two empty boats at the water"s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.

So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where

5 "Master," Simon replied, "we worked hard all last night and didn"t catch a thing.
But if you say so, I"ll let the nets down again."
6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!
7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both
boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
8 When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said,
"Oh, Lord, please leave me-I"m such a sinful man."
9 For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him.
10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.
Jesus replied to Simon, "Don"t be afraid! From now on you"ll be fishing for people!"

Jesus Walks on Water
22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples
get back into the boat and cross to the other side
of the lake, while he sent the people home.
23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by
himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.
24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land,
for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves.
25 About three o'clock in the morning[a]
Jesus came toward them, walking on the water.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water,
they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, "It's a ghost!"
27 But Jesus spoke to them at once.
"Don't be afraid," he said. "Take courage. I am here![b]"
28 Then Peter called to him, "Lord, if it's really you,
tell me to come to you, walking on the water."
29 "Yes, come," Jesus said.
So Peter went over the side of the boat
and walked on the water toward Jesus.
30 But when he saw the strong[c] wind and the waves,
he was terrified and began to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted.
31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.
"You have so little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt me?"
32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped.
33 Then the disciples worshiped him.
"You really are the Son of God!" they exclaimed.
34 After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret.
35 When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his
arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and
soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed.
36 They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe,
and all who touched him were healed.

God Offers Comfort to All
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.
4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.
When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.
6 Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation!
For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you.
Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.
7 We are confident that as you share in our sufferings,
you will also share in the comfort God gives us.
8 We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters,
[a] about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia.
We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure,
and we thought we would never live through it.
9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and
learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.
10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again.
We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.
11 And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because
God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.

The First Disciples
1 One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee,
[a] great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God.
2 He noticed two empty boats at the water"s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
3 Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon,
[b] its owner, to push it out into the water.
So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Now go out where
it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish."
11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

James and John, and he became anguished and distressed.

Yet I want your will to be done, not mine."
40 Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep.
He said to Peter, "Couldn't you watch with me even one hour?
41 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.
For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!"
42 Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed,

43 When he returned to them again, he found them sleeping,

15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil[a]?
How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?
16 And what union can there be between God"s temple and idols?
For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:
"I will live in them
and walk among them.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.[b]
17 Therefore, come out from among unbelievers,

Seven Men Chosen to Serve
1 But as the believers[a] rapidly multiplied,
there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek—speaking believers
complained about the Hebrew—speaking believers,
saying that their widows were being discriminated against
in the daily distribution of food.
2 So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers.
They said, "We apostles should spend our time teaching the
word of God, not running a food program.
3 And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected
and are full of the Spirit and wisdom.
We will give them this responsibility.
4 Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.”
5 Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following:
Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit),
Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas,
and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith).
6 These seven were presented to the apostles,
who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them.
7 So God’s message continued to spread.
The number of believers greatly increased in Jerusalem,
and many of the Jewish priests were converted, too.

Teaching about Money and Possessions
19 "Don't store up treasures here on earth,
where moths eat them and rust destroys them,
and where thieves break in and steal.
20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy,
and thieves do not break in and steal.
21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
22 "Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body.
When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.
23 But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness.
And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!
24 "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other;
you will be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
25 "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—
whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear.
Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds.
They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns,
for your heavenly Father feeds them.
And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?
27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
28 "And why worry about your clothing?
Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow.
They don't work or make their clothing,
29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.
30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today
and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.
Why do you have so little faith?
31 "So don't worry about these things, saying,
'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?'
32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers,
but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.
33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously,
and he will give you everything you need.
34 "So don't worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will bring its own worries.
Today's trouble is enough for today.

A Living Sacrifice to God
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters,[a]
I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you.
Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.
This is truly the way to worship him.[b]
2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world,
but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.
Then you will learn to know God's will for you,
which is good and pleasing and perfect.
3 Because of the privilege and authority[c]
God has given me, I give each of you this warning:
Don't think you are better than you really are.
Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves,
measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.[d]
4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function,
5 so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body,
and we all belong to each other.
6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.
So if God has given you the ability to prophesy,
speak out with as much faith as God has given you.
7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well.
If you are a teacher, teach well.
8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging.
If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability,
take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for
showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are!
But they are only comparing themselves with each other,

13 We will not boast about things done outside our area of authority.
We will boast only about what has happened within the
boundaries of the work God has given us,
which includes our working with you.
14 We are not reaching beyond these
boundaries when we claim authority over you,
as if we had never visited you.
For we were the first to travel all the way to Corinth

15 Nor do we boast and claim credit for the work someone else has done.
Instead, we hope that your faith will grow so that

16 Then we will be able to go and preach the Good News

Then there will be no question of our boasting about work done
in someone else's territory.
17 As the Scriptures say,

Jethro's Wise Advice
13 The next day, Moses took his seat to hear the people's
disputes against each other. They waited before him from morning till evening.
14 When Moses' father—in—law saw all that Moses was doing for the people,
he asked, "What are you really accomplishing here?
Why are you trying to do all this alone while
everyone stands around you from morning till evening?"
15 Moses replied, "Because the people come to me to get a ruling from God.
16 When a dispute arises, they come to me,
and I am the one who settles the case between the quarreling parties.
I inform the people of God's decrees and give them his instructions."
17 "This is not good!" Moses' father—in—law exclaimed.
18 "You're going to wear yourself out—and the people, too.
This job is too heavy a burden for you to handle all by yourself.
19 Now listen to me, and let me give you a word of advice,
and may God be with you. You should continue to be the
people's representative before God, bringing their disputes to him.
20 Teach them God's decrees, and give them his instructions.
Show them how to conduct their lives.
21 But select from all the people some capable,
honest men who fear God and hate bribes.
Appoint them as leaders over groups of one thousand,
one hundred, fifty, and ten.
22 They should always be available to solve the people's common disputes,
but have them bring the major cases to you.
Let the leaders decide the smaller matters themselves.
They will help you carry the load, making the task easier for you.
23 If you follow this advice, and if God commands you to do so,
then you will be able to endure the pressures,
and all these people will go home in peace."
24 Moses listened to his father—in—law's
advice and followed his suggestions.
25 He chose capable men from all over Israel
and appointed them as leaders over the people.
He put them in charge of groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten.

They brought the major cases to Moses,

6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and
seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible
wealth of his grace and kindness toward us,
as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.
8 God saved you by his grace when you believed.
And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done,
so none of us can boast about it.
10 For we are God's masterpiece.
He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,
so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The Temple of the Living God
14 Don"t team up with those who are unbelievers.
How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil[a]?
How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?
16 And what union can there be between God"s temple and idols?
For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:
"I will live in them
and walk among them.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.[b]
17 Therefore, come out from among unbelievers,
and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord.
Don"t touch their filthy things,
and I will welcome you.[c]
18 And I will be your Father,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.[d]"

24 "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other;
you will be devoted to one and despise the other.

Matthew 14:22-36
